Gas Cards

We offer a gas card program, administered by the AFCH social work staff, that provides a $25 gas card to families in need when they must travel long distances between home and the hospital for tests and treatments.  When kids have to travel more frequently, as when they have daily radiation treatments for several weeks, we provide additional gas cards.

The average young person treated at American Family Children’s Hospital and Clinics travels more than an hour each way to the hospital, and often makes the trip one or more times per week. In 2012, we provided over $12,000 in gas cards to keep kids on the road to a cure.
